Nylon ResinAMILAN*

Toray Nylon Resin (polyamide resin) Toray AMILAN* is a thermal engineering plastic featuring an amide bond (-COHN-). Toray offers a complete lineup of copolymer nylons that include Nylon 6, Nylon 66 and Nylon 610. Available for many applications, they are created in various grades to meet specific customer needs. These include unreinforced, reinforced, flame retardant, wear and friction resistant, high impact strength, film-use, monofilament-use and blow-mold use.

Features of Toray Nylon Resin Toray Amilan

Nylon 6, Nylon 66
Outstanding balance of mechanical properties.
Outstanding toughness in equiliblium moisture content.
Outstanding chemical resistance and oil resistance.
Outstanding wear and abrasion resistance.
Almost all grades are self-extinguishing. The flame-resistant grades are rated UL 94VO.
Outstanding long-term heat-resistance (at a long-term continuous maximum temperature ranging between 80 and 150 ℃).
Grades reinforced with glass-fiber and other materials offer superior elastic modulus and strength.
Offers low gasoline permeability and outstanding gas barrier properties.
Nylon 610
Outstanding suppleness and impact strength at low temperature.
Relatively low hygroscopic properties.
Outstanding flex fatigue properties.
Copolymer nylon
Grades offering transparency, flexibility, adhesiveness and other properties.
Grades offering alcohol solubility and other properties.
