S648 TORAYFAN*

Features

S648 is a glue-receptive biaxially oriented polypropylene film, excelling in surface adhesion property, appearance, and scratch resistance.

1) Glue receptiveness (*):
With Toray's proprietary technology, this film surface has very high adhesion properties, thus enables bonding using fast-setting glue in automated systems.
2) Appearance:
Excels in transparency and gloss quality, providing appearance level equal to that of PVC film.
3) Scratch-resistance (wear resistance):
Excels in scratch-resistance, thus it maintains its appearance and gloss under demanding conditions of use.

S648 can used for deep frozen food and chilled sweets. However, its adhesive strength (container tear resistance) may deteriorate under low temperature depending on the paper quality, contents (weight and shape), or type of the box. It recommended to verify the strength before using under low temperature.
As adhesives, Toray recommends the use of the following : SAIVINOL PZ-804 (by Saiden Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), LIFE BOND AV-650 Y-4 and Y-6 (by Nichiei Kakoh Co., Ltd.). For sealing the bottom of carrying bags, SAIVINOL PZ-801H (by Saiden Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.) is recommended.
